How can I move the windows 'desktop' folder from one drive to another?
When I try either in normal or safe mode, I get the error 'can't move
folder' is there a registry entry that I can use?

???? More data perhaps ????
If networked, simply COPY the contents of one 'Desktop' folder to
the other system. (noting that one should 'ignore' the other 'SYSTEM
files/folders' in this attempt .. things like 'My Computer, Network
Places, etc.')
If not networked, burn the contents to a CD/DVD (or copy to a USB
drive) and them copy them off to the 'other' computer.

First, copy things to the other location. Then, run "tweakui"
(start/run/tweakui), select "my computer/special folders", select
"desktop" from the folder list, and then click "change
location".
Note: I have not, personally, done this, and I make no guarantees
that doing so won't leave your computer in a "bad state". I would
recommend making a test account and experiment there.

For both posts you answered, if the user has Vista he can't run TweakUi any
more (nor can he/we use anymore PowerTools). You have download TweakVi (V
not U). It's nowhere near as good as the older program, for instance it does
not have a tickbox to prevent other apps from stealing focus. I miss that
greatly, especially on these NG's. When my mail app updates for new messages
it takes me back to the NG list right in the middle of me typing out a new
post. Drives me NUTS!

All off this is on ONE computer. The installation process put the desktop
folder in the wrong drive.
