Just like parliment eh? ;-)  System is specifically designed to NOT do that 
for the most part..

LOL, good one.

They really really HAVE to change this process if for no other reason than 
for an incumbent President after one term or as is usual the VP after two, 
they have to find a lot less money to go campaigning than their potential 
counterparts on the other side. It's not fair. And the whole nominee 
process is flawed and divisive; it should be decided within the party by 
sitting senators and congress rather than by the public. That would cut out 
the necessity to raise enormous sums of money and would make the process
