Now I'm wondering what that nonprinting char was that you cited me for.
In my newsreader it appears as a square box when I'm reading your
message or when I'm replying to it. I have no idea what will happen to
it when I send this.
According to a hex on your msg's saved .nws file, it is ascii hex 04
which is a ctrl-D or EOT end-of-transmission.

The 'cite' was the graphic which got stripped out along the way.
