I misreported something as spam: How to undo/fix?

I misreported something as spam: How to undo/fix?
Wed, 13 Feb 2008 10:34:19 -080
I emailed someone on Craigslist about an item they had for sale; Their reply
got caught in held mail (SpamAssassin=4). I must have accidentally submitted
the email as spam instead of letting it through.

How do I undo this?

Here's the report:

Any help would be appreciated.

Barry

You don't/can't actually /undo/ it; you apologize for it to the
reported and you tell a deputy.

That is a reportid link. Only the person who made the report can
convert that link into a tracker which will show to whom the report was
made and about what.

If you access the link you posted above, you will see that you are
accessing a report history link which likely has more than one reportid
# highlighted. If you click one of the highlighted reportid# you will
see a display of your spam with the word 'Parse' highlighted. That
Parse link is the tracking URL and its format looks like this example:

http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z1654838350zc97a4abed2afde8ee640f653bbaa1ca2z

You can compare the difference in format configuration with your
reportid link above. If you R click the Parse link and copy the link
address you can paste it here and/or send it to a deputy.

The forum faq has an entry "FAQ Entry: How can I unsend a report?"
which
describes apologizing and notifying the deputy:
http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=138 You should
manually send a retraction and apology to those to whom you reported the
spam, with a copy mentioning the Report ID to deputies <at> spamcop.net.
Any originating ISPs will be able to use your recantation as evidence
with SpamCop if your report landed them onto the SpamCop Blocking List.

Many thanks for the help and the link. I'll follow those instructions.

Been a user since 1999 and this is the first time I've done this. Hopefully
I can go another nine years (at least!) without making this kind of
boneheaded mistake again...

FYI here is the report, in the event that anyone else can shed more light on
this...

I guess you're toast now, and your reports will henceforth be forever
ignored by abuse departments.

But then, aren't they all?
