Superbase V2 on Linux

Superbase V2 on Linux
Thu, 8 Jun 2006 12:04:59 +1200
We are currently pushing to get onto Linux and we have had some success.
An initial load of our program onto CENTOS worked
a) Our front company menu loaded and sat at a waithere (run under a RTS)
b) When a company name is selected it calls another routine
c) At this point we check to see if the harddrive space is ok and as the C:\
drive
(not really C: rather masquerading as Drive C) does not really exists
DISKSPACE returned zero and the program auto closes to avoid problems.
d) When we tried to re-open the message
SBRTS.EXE is old and program closes

Now when we try to fire up the message at d) just comes up.

Any ideas?
Once we have Linux working we will release a white paper for all

Regards
Ian

Ian, a number of people have played with trying to run Superbase on
Linux using Wine, with varying levels of success. I think that you will
find that the most successful one will be when we bring out SIMPOL SBNG,
but I hope others will chime in with their experiences.

If I can add my experience in trying to get Superbase working with Linux -
I'm still in therapy trying to get over it ;)

Kind Regards
