Although, I doubt I be writing such apps. Will SIMPOL be able to do this?

New SDK gets released 11/12 I think. Google got quite a bit of weight
to throw around. Some of the buzz was interesting: comparing an
"iphonish" kind of device of the near future running Android and
bluetooth public monitors as a kind of replacement for the laptop scene.
Who knows.

Depending on what Android actually delivers (as far as I can remember
this is a Linux software stack with GTK+), we should be able to run on
it. Nokia has publicly stated that they don't see this is a serious
threat to SymbianOS. Even though they are involved with Android, they
feel SymbianOS is far more mature and intimately understands the issues
of mobile phone operating systems. We shall see. We don't really care,
we will eventually support just about all of them.
