| Netcards.exe - Failed to read physical address |

Hi all,
I am trying to set up the Internet connection on my UIQ_2.1 emulator.
I have altered the CommDB successfuly but I got the error message
executing this command:
configchange.pl --config ethernetWithCommDB --kernel EKA1 --target wins
--variant UDEB
The error message:
Setting up CommDB for ethernet
Running Netcards to obtain adapter info
Failed to read physical address of Ethernet card
Can't spawn "C:\\Symbian\UIQ_21\\epoc32\tools\netcards": No such file
or
directo
ry at C:\Symbian\UIQ_21\epoc32\tools\configchange.pl line 73.
Error running netcards!
Does anyone have idea?

Hi Tamás,
Have you checked that netcards.exe is in the directory:
"C:\\Symbian\UIQ_21\\epoc32\tools\netcards"
If so, you still can create yourself what netcards.exe would have
created for you. Have a look for the ethermac.dat and etherdriver.dat in
your "C:\\Symbian\UIQ_21\\epoc32\wins\c\system\data directory and
populate them.

Hi Andre,
The tool is in the correspondent directory.

Does ethereal work at all on your pc? (http://ethereal.com) That is the
best proof that your sos emulator will work over the internet.
I trust the adapter name you used is not the one from the forum? :-)
Don't worry if netcards doesn't work. Get the adapter name e.g. form the
ethereal program. As far as all the settings are correct, you don't need
netcards.exe and your internet connection should work. Maybe comment the
netcards.exe call from the perl script.
