Hi everybody,
maybe that's a bit offtopic but I wasn't able to find another group
where this topic belongs to.
I'm using the UIQ21_emulator in combination with sync4j [1]. I have
already set up a server and the sync between a notebook and the server
already works. As well as the sync of a palm. But I'm not able to sync
the UIQ emulator with the server. Although the phone doesn't complain
about any errors. 'Synchronisation finished successfully.'
Now my question, where can I start looking for the error. Is there any
logfile produced by the emulator? It's a bit tricky to look for an error
although everything seems to be ok...
Maybe anyone can help me.
Thanks in advance,
R.

Do you mean to create the folders directly in the emulator or in MS
Explorer? I have created them where the emulator is located
(C:\Symbian\UIQ21\epoc32\release\winscw\udeb).
C:\Symbian\UIQ21\epoc32\release\winscw\udeb\c\logs\....
If you have meant that it doesn't work for me but I'm sure that this
isn't what you meant ;-) So maybe you can tell me a bit more detailed
what I have to do to get logs...

Created now:

But without any effect. It's not clear what you meant with 'on your
emulator'. Where can I create folders on the emulator?
Thanks again && regards

Hi Robert
On your emulator create (udeb directory only)
epoc32/wins (or winscw)/c/logs/syncml/
epoc32/wins (or winscw)/c/logs/http/
Run the tests again - logs should appear in the directories.

I've set the folders correctly. After some research I understood what
you meant. The log files for 'http' are created correctly but the folder
'syncml' is always empty. There is even another error with the folder
'syncml'. The synchronisation always fails.
18/03/2006 9:09:13 Transaction (id=4) : Transport Handler sent error
code -36.
That's in the logs of 'http'. After deleting of the folder 'syncml' the
synchronization seems to work fine again, although no data is exchanged
but that is the problem I mentioned in my first posting. So it seems
that the folder 'syncml' has to be anywhere else?
Maybe you can help me with that problem.
Thanks
