| HAL is a public interface in the S60 3rd edition SDK |

Following the discussion earlier about CRepository being used for
publisedAll while it is defined as publisedPartner, I would like to mention
that in the Nokia S60 3rd edition SDK the HAL interface is promoted for ISV
use, even though it has a plublisedPartner status,
In particular, the "Introduction to S60 3rd Edition >> S60 Platform:
Source
and Binary Compatability >> Same Source Code Module and Build for Multiple
releases, Run-Time Determination" advertises the use HAL::Get() to get the
revision of a device family. The revision value is then used to dynamically
load a revision-specific dll.
