Hello,
I'm trying to use this pre-test tool and as a pre-reqiuisite the the SIS
package containing the application to be tested needs to be present in the
phone, specifically in the \SymbianSigned folder on any drive.
Now can you tell me how can I possibly create that folder in the c:\ drive?
the root directory is not accessible from the phone filr browser. I have
tried using the cable and browsing the phone file system from the PC file
manager but if in this case I can see the root directory, I can't make any
changes to it ( like creating the \SymbianSigned directory)
So can you please tell me how can I create that directory?
Regards

Hi
I haven't tried the tool yet. How about taking the MMC card out of the phone
and creating the directory on a PC?
Regards

Or using a freeware browser. You won't be able to see /sys or the other
protected directories, but you don't need to for this case.

We have ordered a memory card but that meant we had to slip our deadline
for a few days so I eventually created the c:\symbian signed directory with
the sis file in it by specifying it in another pkg that then I installed.
But this way there's no easy way to access the log file that contains the
detailed report of the test.
The point is that it is an unnecessary additional problem symbian
developpers have to cope with.
As for the symbian 9.x file browsers I coudn't find any and if they existed
they should be mentioned as part of the symbian signed TOOLS sections.

There are two free file managers available for the 3rd edition as far as
I know. You can get one of them at
