It's an option the user can set in the application manager.

Thx Sander,

Does it depend on manufacturer vendor ? My Nokia 3250 (s60 3rd edition)
doesnot seem to have this option.
Is it possible to do it via pkg file ??

Thx,
Anand

My mistake, on S60 3rd it appears the installer leaves the sis file and you
cannot tell it anymore to delete the sis file. Not that this helps in any
way as you don't know from where the user installed the file and the user
can still delete the file by hand.

So the only solution I see is that your apps must have an option where the
user can copy the sis file to a special place where your app can then
reference it.

If it's possible, it should be documented.

No its not possible, hence not documented.

Whether or not the SIS file is deleted after installation is a setting in
the installer, whether or not the setting is visible to users is dependent
on the UI.

(BTW, nice to see you're all still busy here in newsgroup land, we're
getting a few questions on the Devnet HTML forums too).
