iTunes sales drop 65%

Seattlepi.com is reporting that according to a study done by Forrester Research,
Apple's iTunes took a big nose dive in sales during the first half of the year,
dropping more than 65%. 

 

[editorial comment: Sounds to me like people may be ready for something
different...and Zune-ish ]

I'd be willing to bet that people are tired of DRM, which come with all iTunes
songs whether you want it or not...

I bet it has nothing to do with DRM and simply the fact that there is just
crappy music being put out as of late.

That, and DRM. Apple DRM settings are unreasonable. Not sure if Zune is any
better

I'm tempted to agree with Mike on that one, though another thing that needs to
be considered is that the market had to stagnate some time.
