Visa develops tools for mobile payments

I thought this was an interesting article on internetnews.com: At CES, Visa
introduced a new suite of technology tools that will enable consumers to use
their mobile phones to pay for goods and services. The products aren't aimed
toward consumers at this point, however; Visa created the tools as a foundation
and plans to it up to financial services and telecom industries to extend the
capability to the consumer market. Here's a clip:

Visa International vice president of mobile innovation Dave Wentker told
internetnews.com the platform will facilitate three types of mobile payments:
mobile Internet transactions, fund transfers from person to person and
contact-less payments that incorporate Near Field Communication (NFC)technology.
