Vista boosts PC sales by 67%

Bloomberg is reporting this morning that in the first week since the general
availability launch of Windows Vista, sales of new PCs rose by 67%. That's huge!

I wonder whether we will see that PC sales were down over the holidays, with
people waiting to make major PC purchases until after Windows Vista was
officially released...

Beware the false dichotomy.

We'll see, ceteris paribus, that Vista will surpass XP and that hardware and
software purchases were deferred during the interregnum.

Bloomberg reports HP the leader. If HP wants to keep that rank, I suggest it
attend to driver support for things already out there.

Finally, manufacture a popular device? Don't restrict yourself to the
Fischer-Price platform. (We won't be immured. Adults will find an alternative.
Quickly. Zoom ... Zune.)

Yeah I suspect a few people were holding off on their purchase of a new computer
to get vista.

could that be?

Didn't all the doofii (doofuses?) in mainstream media and Mac and Linux fanboi
predict lackluster sales?

John, your linguistic skill knows no limit. "Fanboi" is a zero morph
just like sheep, puss, and deer.

HH, when you take your first university statistics course, I'd like you to
calculate the Pearsonproduct-moment correlation coefficient between IQ and use
of Linux / Mac.

Then you can tell us why these people should not become actuaries..
