try to contact HP directly. There are helpfull support chats available
where you can reach a technician nearly instantly.

Already did that 3 times Markus, each time I got to a point 
with them where they said they couldn't help me any more. Since 
then I got an Epson C88 printer and have figured out how to 
print graphics to it. However I haven't given up on the HP1200d.
I will make some more attempts after I get all the Epson 
printouts done.
