Error with Vxdisksetup

Hello,

I have Linux Box, trying to setup Veritas volume manager, after running the
following command --getting error msg.

/usr/lib/vxvm/bin/vxdisksetup -if cciss/c1d0 format=sliced

VxVM ERROR V-5-3-000: Partitions failed to verify
VxVM vxedpart ERROR V-5-1-10089 partition modification failed : Success
VxVM vxdisk ERROR V-5-1-5433 Device cciss/c1d0: init failed:
        Disk VTOC does not list private partition

Can anybody come across the same problem ? Kindly let me know how to rectify
this.
