How to use VSS?

Hi members... im new in software developement and our company also... 

We want to use Microsoft VSS  6 with  asp.net 2005. is it possible to do this?
and if yes...how?If anybody can give me stepwise procedure..or link of any
website which gives such a help... that will also do...


Currently..I have  installed .net 2005, VSS6 . I have created database in VSS
and also created user accounts also. But when I try to open the web project from
 

File menu -> source control-> open from source control  menu.. it gives
following error.


 "The project you have chosen cannot be correctly opened from source
control.

You are attempting to open a solution or project that was not added to source
control using Microsoft Visual Studio. Microsoft Visual Studio supports opening
solutions from source control only when they are added (or bound) using
Microsoft Visual Studio.
The user who initially added the solution must use the Change Source Control
command to bind the solution to source control in its current location. "

Im really new in this kinda VSS thing..and I dont know anything about it..
please help me to get out of it.
