1. VB is supported in any version of Visual Studio.
2. Before VS 2003 there was VS 2002 and before that there was Visual Studio 98
(aka 6.0).
3. .NET is a platform (runtime + libraries) while Visual Studio is a tool to
develop applications for .NET platform. This is same relation as in between
Windows API and Visual C++, for example.

Any version supports VB (Visual Basic). If you mean VB6 dialect, then VB.NET is
different from VB6 and Visual Studio no longer supports VB6. There are third
party migration tools.
