Looks like some object is not defined or something has null value.
if a table doesnt exist, then it may throw this error.basicly this is a null
reference error and happens when something is not defined or when a variable has
null.

Hi I am using Visual Web Developer 2005. I have a drop down menu which and am
selecting an Access Database as the datasource. Then, when i am in the
"Define Custom Statements or Store Procedures" stage, I click on the
"query builder" button and get the following error:
Object Reference not set to an instance of an object
Any idea whats wrong??

unforunately this error is displayed as soon as i click on the Query Builder
Button. So i think that this is not from a missing table.
In the table I have values set allow to null. Do these make any difference?
Any other help?

No the null values in table are fine.
You may be trying to execute a stored procedure which may not exist??
