time for a change, hopefully 007 won't be the death of me

As 2007 is nearly upon us and many are contemplating changes and
resolutions, mine is already underway.

For the past 15+ years my 9-5 has been working in Information Security
at a large midwestern bank (U.S.). Also, for the last 10 years, I've
freelanced as a "web guy". I avoided full-time web work as I was
concerned that once I made the hobby a job, I wouldn't like it any more.

Well, next week I hang up my big brother/e-mail police/"firewall nazi"

hats (just a few of the printable names I've affectionately been called)
and am becoming a full-time "web guy" at the bank. I'll be joining a

talented staff of 15-20 people and working on various intra- and inter-
net projects throughout the company.

This will either be a great move, or I will be winking and blinking at
the iris scanner in a month trying to get back to my old desk.

Stay tuned, and have a safe & happy new year!

Good for you!

Just for curiosity's sake, which bank do you work for?

First National Bank of Omaha (http://www.firstnational.com/)

First National of Nebraska, our holding company, has banks in Illinois,
South Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, and Texas. We also have a few other
companies in other areas.
