Sorry... I haven't used WordPress but thought I'd jump in. I've had a
similar experience with a highly customized XOOPS CMS I set up for a non
profit association membership site. No one will use the site! It's chalk
full of features and much more interactive and useful than the prior
site. I was hoping they would take on a bit more (posting news items,
forum posts, use the online chat for meetings, etc.), but no go. They
act as if they hardly know how to use a computer! It was a lot of hard
work and I'm very proud of it but it's a shame it isn't being used to
its full potential.

I've built a few WordPress sites recently, and am discovering that the
clients really don't seem to be able to follow instructions very well,
and/or WordPress isn't really so easy to use for someone totally unfamiliar
with HTML. They love to cut-and-paste from formatted Word documents, and
upload multi-megabyte pictures. We had a thread a while back about CMSs not
always working out well for the clients; I guess this is just more of the
same.
Just rambling here ... obviously an exciting New Year's Eve at our house
(just waiting around until it's time to go pick up my teenage daughter from
a party).

Here's a few ... you'll notice I'm the most frequent poster on some of them!

www.rpmspta.org
www.sherwoodptsa.org
I haven't listed the particular one I was grousing about earlier ... but
similar problems have come up on these other ones.

I have several clients using Wordpress that I set up and after a slight
learning curve, they're doing great. One thing I did is used a number of
plug-ins so things were as idiot proof as possible and they didn't have to
do much coding (since they know none). I started using a TinyMCE interface
for them and bagged it. I decided that setting it up using CSS and plug-ins
so they didn't have to do too much was the way to go.
What kinds of problems are you having with them?
