Thanks for the reply.

We have already got keep-xa-connection-till-tx-complete  set to true for the
connection pool.

If the code is run within the Application Server (i.e. with a set of deployed
Spring services) then it works without the problem but we need to be able to
execute it from outside the container so that we can perform integration
testing.
