Recordstores not persistent during midlet upgrade

Recordstores not persistent during midlet upgrade
Thu, 08 Nov 2007 21:00:16 +010
I'm running IBM WebSphere Everyplace Micro Environment JVM 5.7.2 on a
Palm Treo 680. I installed my midlet using the install option from the
JVM. When the midlet creates a recordstore, a pdb is created with
creator ID j9pa and type j9rs. When I later upgrade the midlet using the
JVM upgrade option (or by reinstalling the midlet using VFSexchange) the
pdb is erased, taking the midlet recordstore with it.

This requires me to re-enter my setting in the midlet every time after
an upgrade. Is there any way to avoid this?

I'm not sure if it's possible on PalmOS - but if you can set startup
options, you might get help from here:
