GPRS

Ok, my J9 based application is finished, runs perfectly (although the 
embedded HSQLDB could be a bit faster) and communicates via SOAP through 
HTTP with a backend server.

That is, as long as I use the WiFi feature of my PDA. As soon as only GPRS 
is available I get a "socket write exception" even though IE on the
PDA can 
load pages. It was my understanding that (like wired and wireless LAN on a 
PC) all networks were identical to software.

Has anyone any experience with J9 via GPRS?
