What's standard page size?

What's standard page size?

What's the standard page size to design for these days?
800x600, 1024x768 or higher?
Anyone have any stats or information on that little query?
:o)

I think it depends on the audience you are aiming for. I design mainly for
non-profit groups whose members do not necessarily have the most up-to-date
computers so I design for 800 pixel width.

Complete understand that viewpoint, and generally I design for 800 pixel
width as well. I've actually begun a revamp of my own personal website, and
started contemplating the view from a higher resolution. It certainly looks
crisper and cleaner at higher resolutions.

Much to ponder... thanks for the opinion Joan!

Thanks Kathy! I use percentages in nested tables, but I think I like a
little more control over the overall page layout to use a percentage with my
design. It certainly has its appropriate place for usage, but I can't
resolve it with my curret design.
