Google ad placement

I'm looking for a better placement of Google ads on my forum

The header has the logo left justified with the page title and navigation 
menu centered in the rest of the space. I like the look of this. I want to 
keep this alignment. I want to add a half banner Google ad which contain two 
ads. If I put this under the header it looks wonky no matter how I line it 
up. If I center it on the page it lines up with the forum body. That's how 
it is now. This isn't pleasing to the eye. It is out of balance with the 
header. If I line it up with the navigation menu in the header it looks 
worse. I'm looking for ideas on where to place the ads so that 1) They don't 
bother people and look integrated to the page. 2) I get at least a few 
clickthroughs so I get enough income to pay for the site. I get enough 
traffic that I know through research should generate about $20.00 - $30.00 
per month with a decent placement of the ads.
