Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator?

Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator?
Sun, 13 Apr 2008 00:40:00 -070
I am running XP Pro and have McAfee running all security.
Two days ago a website that I was reviewing caused my system to have problems.
The website must have infected my pc and McAfee picked up the problem, but
there still seems to be a problem. I have run both McAfee vius scan and
Windows Defender to remove any problems.
Every now an again - a error message come up by a software company I not
aware of saying that they have identified a problem and to fix it I need to
"InstallShield Software". Plus a message "System Integrity Scan
Wizard" ???
I have tried to run MS Task Manager to identify what is running on the
system, but it somes up the following message "Task Manager has been
disabled
by your administrator" and since that is me, I believe the software has
done
this.
I have attempted to restore the system - but it has failed at each check
point, and I have tried to determine a method to enable Task Manager".

Any assistance here would be appreciated.

Wrong newsgroup. Format your hard drive and restore from original media.
Try a better antivirus next time. Stay away from strange web sites. Run
FireFox since IE's real name is "Internet Exploder".

Have you tried using Process Explorer
(http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/cb56073f-62a3-4ed8-9dd6-40c84cb
9e2f5.aspx)
instead of Task Manager? I assume that since you can post here you are able
still able to get to outside web sites.
