| Running scheduled tasks on shared host? |

Hi, I'm new to asp.net hosting, so I'm not sure what are considered standard
features. One of my concerns is running a scheduled task every week, do shared
hosts typically allow access to windows scheduler, or something similar to cron?

As far as I know no share hosting provides access to windows scheduler.

Yes, I also have a habit to use Cron with Linux hosting. It is a usual thing
with Linux. Unfortunately not all asp.net hosters allow to use scheduled tasks,
but my favorite .net hosting (dotnetpark) allows it. Also I use a built-in
schedulers of DotNetNuke and other apps.

Yes, most of the asp.net shared hosting providers allow schedule tasks.

http://discountasp.net has a Scheduled Task Manager we access from the control
panel.
