Retrieve variables from a webpart detailpage

Hi,

I just started writing my first webpart for sharepoint services 3. I have
created a webpart that displays a form, do some error checking and inserts de
values to a sharepoint list.

Also I have another list that displays events. What I want to do is the
foloowing:
When I click on a event I go to the details page (the DispForm.aspx). On that
same page I want a link to my form and pass some variables to my form from the
details page.

Is that possible and how do I do that?

Anybody an idea?
