You could try renaming the default template file (usually WP11xx.WPT,
where xx is your country code, such as "us") to WP11Back.WPT. Restart
WPWin11, and a new clean template file will be created. If this solves
the problem, the FAQ at
http://www.wpuniverse.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18046
on Saving and Restoring Customisations should help you recover
personalisations of menu, keyboard, toolbar, styles, etc.
Of course, if it does not help, rename WP11Back.wpt back to its original
name, over-writing the newly created default template file.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

Just wondering--if we open a document made in another program, would that be
using a different default template file?
I'm helping my friend troubleshoot from long distance. I was thinking we
could try that before we try renaming files.

The default template is the default template for THAT version of
WordPerfect on THAT computer.
If you open a document ... any document in any format ... it will utilize
the default template on that computer. Open it on a different computer
and/or a different version of WordPerfect, there will be a different
default template.

Thanks for the explanation. I had her send me the file through email as an
attachment. I opened it in my WP, and it printed fine. I guess that would
make it more likely that it is her default template. I'll try the suggestion
mentioned earlier and see what happens.
