Recently my company bought me a new laptop and then proceeded to install the
software on it. Some of the software, such as WP11, belonged to me, but they
installed it as a favor. The problem is that although I'd already registered
it, the installation process must have asked to re-register, and they
registered it to the Helpdesk at my company. Now whenever I start WP, that's
what appears on the splash screen. I know this is a small thing, but I'd
rather have my name there. I went online and registered the same serial
number to my name again--apparently Corel doesn't check to see if multiple
people use the same number--but the splash screen hasn't changed. Could
someone tell me where the setting is on my computer to change this?

If I reinstall again, will my old settings, toolbars, macros, etc. remain?
In other words, will the new install go over the previous one? (And if so,
do I need to uninstall first?) I don't mind adding the patches again, but I
wouldn't want to have to re-do everything else. Thanks.

Thank you, but that's too much trouble after just having done all that to
install this on the new laptop. I was hoping that I could just install over
the current version--both WP11--without having to back up and then replace
all my settings. Everything seems to be working now as far as I can tell, so
I'll just accept the wrong name on the splash screen.

Andrea,
The only way that I know to change the registration details is to
re-install completely. However, you can delete the file wpo11.dll in
the WPWin11 Programs folder. Then when you launch WPWin11, you will be
prompted to enter the licence number. But you will then have a blank
entry for your name.

Andrea,
Have a look at the FAQ on "Saving and Recovering Customisations" at
