I'm using WP11 in XP with a Brother 2070 laser printer through a USB port.
Currently I'm getting the red "paper" error button everytime I try to
print
from Word Perfect, but I can print web pages and from my spreadsheet (Lotus
123). I remember sometime agao that there is some obscure setting in Word
Perfect that has to be set apart from the usual printer properties but I
can't remember what it is. I hope somebody can help me. Thanks tons.

Windwatcher,
You could usefully try renaming the appropriate part of the Windows
registry. In the registry, edit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\PrintEngine\11
to read
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\PrintEngine\11OLD
Then launch WPWin11 and the registry should have new entries for
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\PrintEngine\11
Ask if you need advice on making this registry change.

Thanks very much I located the registry entry but I'm concerned because in
addition to this printer, I have several other printers installed there.
In the PrintEngineFolder, there is a subfolder named "11" - is that
where I
would add the OLD? THen all the various printers and misc settings are in
subfolders under 11.

Yes, the proposal is for you to rename the \11 to \11OLD. You should
find that re-launching WPWin11 will cause the current list of printers
to be re-created. I have tested this several times to satisfy myself
that the advice is safe.
If by any chance this should not occur as expected, you can reverse the
name change from \11OLD back to \11

It worked! Wonderful - I'll file this away for future reference. Thanks
very much.
