| Macro that places selected text on envelope with my return address logo |
 |
Mon, 18 Feb 2008 13:32:40 -050 |
Long time WP user from the early 80's ... I use to have a macro that would
place highlighted text as the address on an prepared envelop that had my
return address and logo. Somehow something corrupted it. Now when I try to
run the macro with the desired address highlighted, the box comes up that
says
cstenv90 is ready to print
The text you selected
0
was copied to the clipoard,
ready to insert in an envelop
If I go ahead with the print command, the envelop will print correctly with
my return address and logo in the right spot. The place where the desired
address should go simply prints out as
return
address begin
Any help to correct this would be appreciated.
You guys are great and much appreciated!

It's one of mine. I'll pick up on it.

Jerry,
That's one of my macros. See http://wptoolbox.com/library/CstEnv.html
As Roy noted, you really don't need it any more, unless you have special
needs for the envelope. Later versions of WP can use a QuickWord in the
return address area to insert different fonts, graphics, etc. See

It is not possible to guess the problem without access to the macro itself.
You could copy to another post the section that captures the selected text.
Since you are a "Long time WP user from the early 80's" - have you
explored
WPWin's Format|Envelope feature?

Thanks Roy and Barry
I liked Barry's macro as it was a quick way to use my return address and
logo, and, after selecting the addresee it would bring up the envelope ready
to print. Some how when I reinstalled my WP setup some months back I failed
to edit the macro with my personal data, etc.
At any rate I got it working. It's strange how when something works you
hesitate to change. I will have to look at the QuickWord approach. Work
demands and office pressure will let up at this week and I'll have some time
Thanks again
Jerry
