It's not really a "nag screen." It's the program's warning to you that
something has changed -- even if the changes result in nothing that you
can see on screen or in print.
Moreover, if you (not the program) made an accidental change during
editing, you might not want to permanently disable this warning message.
If you could do so, and did disable it, you might end up overwriting
files with things that you did not want to save. This would not be a
good thing, I think. <s>
For more on why this can happen (there are at least 12 reasons!) see:
"Why some documents seem to "spontaneously" change or reformat
themselves when they are opened, printed, faxed, or shared between users"

Several times a day I will want to quickly view a WP11 file to see if it is
what I want, and when I try to exit out I get a nag screen warning me to
save the changes I didn't make. After a while this becomes pretty annoying.
Is there a way to disable this nag?

Wow, this is exactly what I needed, thanks so much Barry. I disabled the
automatic formatting to default printer upon open, and the problem went
away. Since I have had the same printer for about 18 months I don't know
why WP feels like it needs to change printer defaults when I open a
document, but the important thing is the problem is solved.
