| Not printing custom envelopes |

I have always been able to print odd size envelopes by setting up the
desired envelope size as a custom envelope. After changing from Windows Xp
to Vista any custom envelope I try to use is blank when it comes out of the
printer. The standard envelopes for which templates are provided print OK.
I am using an HP 2015d printer and Word Perfect 12.

Just for info, this happens to me regularly, with my Windows XP. Feeding a
sheet of paper shows no address anywhere. These envelopes worked okay
earlier (months ago). I find that I can be certain of no errors only if I
use printer-defined envelopes.

Same printer driver?
Print an envelope, but feed the printer with a regular sheet of paper.
Then you can see what is happening.

Bob,
Historically I've had occasional problems with "special" envelopes.
Generally, the special size must be created in the printer's set of
envelopes.
But the best workaround I've had in troublesome instances is the do the
following, which I do via a macro, with prompts, that I wrote many years
ago.
1. Let's assume your envelope is 5x8 inches. Set the paper size in WP to
standard letter which is 8.5x11, and set to landscape mode.
2. Assuming that you want a 1/4" margin on the envelope all around, set the
paper margins to
R = 0.25"
L = 3.25"
3. Assuming your paper feed is centered, set the top and bottom margins to
2".
4. To test out things, I then put a thin line at the margins all around, and
then place a sheet of letter size paper in, and print it.
5. If the margins et al look proper (check with a ruler), I then adjust the
paper guides, put an envelope in, and reprint the same page. It should
confirm that all is well.
If your printer feed is not centered, you will have to adjust the margins to
allow for whatever the feed is. And, you can make the envelope margins
whatever you want, but adjusting the values I've noted here. This has always
worked well with most printers, but there are occasionally some that will
hiccup here. But the test is a simple one to try out.
This approach fools the printer, and is usually a simple way to do special
envelopes

The best information I can get from Corel is that WP 12 is not being updated
to run with Vista and some features may not work properly, i.e., printing
custom envelopes. WP Office X3 with Service Pack 2 is configured to work
with Vista. I downloaded a trial of that program and the custom envelopes
work properly. For the quantity of odd size envelopes and labels that I
print a work around is not practical and there was no printing anywhere on a
full size sheet of paper.
