| Watermark won't display on screen |

Even with the View setting in Page mode, I can't get the watermark to show
up on screen. It doesn't appear in print preview either.
I'm guessing that the problem is some setting. But I've checked Settings -
display, environment, etc.
Help please....

Monte,
Try opening Reveal Codes. After you have done Insert > Watermark > A >
is there a [WatermarkA] code showing in Reveal Codes?
After you have inserted the graphic into the Watermark, do you see a
[Box] code? Have you clicked outside the graphic, to deselect it? The
[Box] code should still show.
At this stage, the Property Bar should show a "Close" (Close Editor)
button, on the right. Next to that is a button with the prompt
"Watermark Shading". What values do you have for "Text
shading" and
"Image shading"?

Charles
Yep, the [Watermark A] and [Box][Box} codes appear when I click outside the
watermark and open Reveal Codes.
Originally the text and image shadings were set at 25%. I ran tests after
setting them both to 85 then 100%.
Upon leaving the watermark editing screen (returning to the document), the
text is plainly visible. The picture (whether jpg or clipart) remains
totally invisible...

| MORE INFO: Watermark won't display on screen |

I did some experimenting. Here is what I found.
If I simply create a watermark then exit the Watermark edit screeen and
return to the document, the document remains invisible. HOWEVER, if I create
a watermark, hold the ENTER button until the cursor has reached the bottom
of the page, then the watermark is visible when I return to the document...
Strange??

With more research, I find that the failure of watermarks to display
properly may be another byproduct of the CDRCONV.EXE issue described in
Article ID 207681 of the Corel support page.
It seems that in a Pentium 4 environment, WP12 has some issues with JPG file
conversion. The workaround described in the article above did NOT resolve
the issue.
