Re: unable to save wordperfect 12 files

Try renaming your default template.  See this thread if you need help 
with that.

To enable others to better help you, what is your version of WP12? 
(Help > About ..  a number like 12.0.0.xxx, what is xxx?

What is your operating system?

Some report that you should install as administrator, not a user with 
administrator rights.

hello, everyone, i have a big problem with my wordperfect 12.  when creating 
a new document if i try to save as, i dont get anything to allow me to save 
the doc as either wpd, or word, or anything, all i get is save as perfectfit 
document management, with everything else blank. i have the software 
installed in another computer and i am able to choose the type of file i 
want to save it as.   ihave already tried uninstalling the reinstalling the 
software, manually removing the software and reinstalling again.  still 
didnt make a difference.  any help will be appreciated.

thanks for the reply. i tried renaming the default template wpus12.wpt to 
wpus12old.wpt, when opening wordperfect again, it creates the new template 
but when trying to save a file, i still get the save as perfectfit document 
management with all the boxes empty.  i tried using your tool, and still 
didnt work.  do you have any other suggestions?

hi , thanks for your reply, the version of wordperfect is 12.0.0.238 i am 
running windows vista home premium 32bit

this is a new computer and there is only one user account.
