| LEFT RIGHT STACKALIGN carrying over from one line to another? |

I am trying to find a way of carrying over from one line to another a pair
of brackets with LEFT[ and RIGHT] when using STACKALIGN
My third edition "Wordperfect 5.1 Tips, Tricks, and Traps" doesn't
help!
Example equation:
STACKALIGN {DELTA C_p (S`,`t`,`P) ~&=~ [(((( d_4`T_68 ~+~ d_3)`T_68 +
d_2)`T_68 ~+~ d_1)`T_68 ~+~ d_0)`S
# ~&~#
~&+~ ((e_2 `T_68 ~+~ e_1)`T_68 ~+~ e_0)`S` SQRT ``]`P# ~&~#
~&+~[(((`f_3`T_68 ~+~ f_2`)`T_68 ~+~ f_1 `)`T_68 ~+~ f_0`)`S
# ~&~#
~&+~ g_0`S` SQRT ``]`P^2
# ~&~#
~&+~[((`h_2 `T_68 ~+~ h_1`) `T_68 ~+~ h_0)`S
# ~&~#
~&+~j_1`T_68`S` SQRT ``]`P^3
}
What I would like to be able to write would be:
STACKALIGN {DELTA C_p (S`,`t`,`P) ~&=~ LEFT[ (((( d_4`T_68 ~+~ d_3)`T_68 +
d_2)`T_68 ~+~ d_1)`T_68 ~+~ d_0)`S
# ~&~#
~&+~ ((e_2 `T_68 ~+~ e_1)`T_68 ~+~ e_0)`S` SQRT ``RIGHT]`P# ~&~#
~&+~[(((`f_3`T_68 ~+~ f_2`)`T_68 ~+~ f_1 `)`T_68 ~+~ f_0`)`S
# ~&~#
~&+~ g_0`S` SQRT ``]`P^2
# ~&~#
~&+~[((`h_2 `T_68 ~+~ h_1`) `T_68 ~+~ h_0)`S
# ~&~#
~&+~j_1`T_68`S` SQRT ``]`P^3
}
But it is rejected as syntactically incorrect - LEFT and RIGHT have to be on
the same line of the stack.
Does anyone know of a trick to work around this?
Just in case anyone is interested: this is part of how to estimate seawater
heat capacity. UNESCO technical papers in marine science 44 "Algorithms for
computation of fundamental properties of seawater".

Christopher:
You may wish to try the WordPerfect_older_versions group.
