It was supposed to be addressed by sp1. See this Corel article:

When saving to the newest MSWord version I always get that message.
Cleaning out the Temp files doesn't solve that problem as one of the
Corel articles suggested.

I have to save to the next lower version.

Saving a file. Access denied: You do not have permission to do this.

Hi Guys,

On our network we seem to have almost the same issue as Michael Hoyle had on
his post dated 22/01/2008.

A WordPerfect document would be created from scratch and if a user closes it
down, opens and makes changes then tries to save they get the error Access
denied: You do not have permission to do this. It will then give you the
save as window to save it under a different name. This can also happen to
existing documents.

Unfortunately this is totally random so I am not sure what could be causing
the problem, it will work sometimes and through out the error message other
times.

It can be saved using a different file name but you could end up with 6 or
more copies of a report because it won't let you save over the original one.

This is happening on a number of users/computers on our network. They are
all:

- using WordPerfect 12 version 12.0.0.602 (should be SP3 applied)
- using Windows XP SP2
- saving the files on a server with SBS 2003, the certain directories used
have their security permissions set at full control for everyone
- saving the files as a .wpd document not, as previous solutions say, saving
it as a word document file format.
- The documents used could be anything, they are not tied down to specific
document layouts we have created i.e. certificates, reports etc.

If there is any other information you need let me know, any help would be
very much appreciated.

Thanks

Jamie

Kenneth,

Thanks for answering so quick.

I had looked at this article today in fact! I have made the changes that it
advises so we will see if it causes any troubles.

Again because it happens randomly I won't be able to get back quickly to say
if it worked or not...fingers crossed.

Jamie

I will bear that in mind, but remember we are not using WordPerfect to save
MSWord docs...just in it's own format and we still get this error.
