Kenneth has more network experience than I do, but a couple of thoughts
come to mind.
Assuming you are linking from the same document that is successful with
links to other ordinary documents (which tells us that the hyperlink
feature is active and working properly in /that/ particular WPD document):
1. Is the HTML document available on the network? That is, if you use My
Computer or Explorer and double-click on the HTML's filename, does it
load in your browser? (It does for me.) If not, your Windows might need
to associate .html files with your browser: My Computer > Tools > Folder
Options > File Types. Scroll down to HTM and HTML. These should be
associated with your browser.
2. Is your WP12 program up to date? When I create a hyperlink to a HTML
document in a different folder on my system (using WP 12.0.0.602),
clicking the hyperlink causes the HTML document to immediately load in
my Firefox browser. See "What version of WordPerfect do I have; what
updates/patches are available?" at

WP 12.0.0.602
Within a document I set a hyperlink to a network .html document, but it
doesn't work (nothing happens when I click on the link). If I
Right-Click | Open Hyperlink, I get a new document. Activate Hyperlinks
in Environment options is checked.
Any clue?

Possibly a shadow cursor setting issue. See Barry's site for a summary.

Thanks for your reply.
I read Barry's tip and checked out his suggestions, but still the link
doesn't work. The link is activated, but nothing happens when I click it.
When I link to another WordPerfect document, the link works fine, but
not to an html document. Maybe this doesn't work with non-WordPerfect
documents?

Yes, the document is available on the network; when clicked from
Explorer, the document opens in my browser. When I do this, I do get an
error message saying that document could not be found, but the document
appears in the browser anyway just a moment or two later. I think this
is related to some DDE-related mis-settings in the file/application
association for html documents. I guess it's possible that this
momentary error and message could cause WordPerfect to somehow abort the
attempt to open the link.
I've got 12.0.0.602 .. I think that's the latest for Standard WP.
