| Spam Features Not Working Correctly in Two Areas |

When I add a domain address to the Blacklist, I still get messages from ids
using that domain. Why is this feature not working? This feature is
important to me since someone somehow put my email address on a mailing list
program. I can't log on to unsubscribe myself since I don't know the logon
id or password. I've sent the "program contact id" numerous emails
to
delete my id from the program, but to no avail. I'm using WPMail as a stand
alone program.
Also, when I delete a message as spam, it sends the message to the Delete
Folder rather than the Spam Folder. The Spam Folder is always empty (I have
it checked to show all). When I find the message in the Delete Folder, I
then delete it permanently. No big deal...just a bug I guess?
Can anyone help please?
Thanks,
Charlotte

I agree it is not possible to rid oneself of certain spam messages. Sheila

My experience has been that using the "Delete as spam" feature will
stop
the messages. Maybe not right away though. Try deleting them this way,
shutting dow WPMail and then reopening. I have had no problems with that
feature, but it does require using the "Delete as SPam" button
It's also possible that the blacklisted domain is not the real source of
the mail, i.e. not the actual domain address from which the mail is coming.

Hmm, does the little "envelope" in the top of the Spam view have a
yellow
background? If so, it is set to show only unread messages. Still
,clicking on that icon may reset the view. Also, customize your list view
to show the "folders" messages are in and have a look at that when you
are
in the deleted folder.
Also check the properties of the "spasm" view under "saved
searches" to
make sure that it shows " Folder:Deleted Mark:Spam " if not, post
here
what it does show.
If you delete from the Spam folder, you will also get the "delete
permanently?" message.
best of luck!

A really good way to get on Spam Lists is to use your real
e-mail address when posting to newsgroups such as this one.
Addresses are routinely harvested from these groups.
I know because as a test, I set up a sneakemail address and
*only* used it on Corel newsgroups. Wasn't too long before
it started to get spammed. OBTW sneakemail works great if
you want a reply from someplace, but do not want to give
them your actual address. www.sneakemail.com
