I have been using wpmail for quite some time with few problems. Now I cannot
start it anymore, I tried the shortcut on the desktop as well as the exe and
nothing happens. I also tried with taskmanager open and there is no process
starting. This is very strange. Any suggestions, folks?

Update: I tried the suggestion from the Corel knowledgebase, and nothing
worked. However, when I watch the taskmanager closely wpmail shows up for
about a second and then is unloaded.

which suggestion did you try? There are a couple that might be of help in
this. A lot of the problems can be avoided if you avoid the later service
packs for WP Mail. That was a huge help for me.
Let us know in brief which fix you tried.

I extracted the original installation package and selected the repair
option. That brought it back to life, but I'm not sure if that's the last
update that came with the WPOX3 SP2 (I think) anymore, it's now build 175
r13-061213. Are there any more recent versions?

I am not sure, but if I were you, I would avoid any of the updates from
this point on because they break more than they tend to fix. I know that
they break more things than they fix.
