| Searching in Vista for text in Wordperfect Files |

Has anyone been able to use vista's search feature to search the contents of
WP files? I use home Premium and WPX3. Alternatively, has anyone been able
to use quickfinder with Vista? Quickfinder crashes when trying to build an
index.

Same here on my german Vista home premium with service pack 1: Quickfinder
within WP 13 (13.0.0.568) crashing all the time when I want to build a new
index! Must be a bug!

No, it is not possible to search in vista`s search feature the contents of
wp files although the *.wpd extension is registered correctly, Quickfinder
is crashing all the time....so what is to do? Corel knows that this is a
bug?

Christoph,
even under Win XP, I prefer Copernic Desktop Search to Quickfinder. It
is very fast, and in contrast to Quickfinder, keeps the list of the
files found open until you close it, and it also gives you a preview of
the files. That helps you to open just the one file you need. And, above
all, Copernic Desktop Search is free. I suppose it will run under Vista too.
