Use a loop to check the time.

Is there a way to make the Windows Task Scheduler close Thunderbird say
10 minutes after it opens it?
Or is there a way to make Thunderbird close itself at an appointed time?
I guess Ctrl+Q Exits Thunderbird, but how can that be scheduled?

I posted 2 methods at wpu.
MsgBox() is an API method:

WaitDlg(): http://www.wpuniverse.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=9204
If you have trouble getting the files from Simtel, see these
alternatives: http://www.wpuniverse.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=25386
