Good Linux rumor

Just heard (from a reasonable source) that Peachtree Accounting 2008 
from Sage will be Linux compatible. This is very good news, perhaps the 
most important tipping point yet for getting Linux moving into the 
mainstream. Right now there are a few Linux accounting packages, but 
they are not mainstream friendly, and most of them are really old 
fashioned in their operation.

Sage may also be developing their high end programs such as ACCPAC for 
Linux. That was not verified by my source.

Another good rumor is that Intuit Quickbooks is going to get a Linux 
version as well.  Don't remember where I heard that, but I do know one 
of the programmers that used to work for them just north of us here in 
Edmonton.
