Is my client working?
Thu, 05 Apr 2007 11:22:13 -060
Just changed e-mail clients, and haven't seen any posts here since.
This is just to check to see if it is a problem at my end, or if things
are just that quiet here.

Yeah, It had been so quiet for so long that I thought that perhaps
Thunderbird was not picking up the messages in the newsgroup! That is
why I posted my test message.

Got an e-mail from the folks at Linux Journal today to former Tux
subscribers, giving me a 'deal' to subscribe to Linux Journal. I've
been subscribing to Linux Format for a couple of years now, and it is
VERY expensive on this side of the pond. Anyway, I bit on the offer for
Linux Journal. It is still over my head to a large degree, but I may
get enough out of it to make it worth while this year.

I liked Maximum Linux. Linux magazines in Europe seem to be more "user
friendly"(exoteric) rather than geeky (esoteric). I buy a copy once in
a while if I am interested in the bundled DVD.
