Sun's pledge . . .

Jonathan Schwartz's blog today (CEO of Sun Microsystems) is causing 
quite a stir in the Linux world. In effect he has pledged to use Sun's 
vast patent holdings to defend Red Hat and Ubuntu (and no doubt others 
should the need arise) from the threats made by Microsoft. Here is a

The blog itself is a good read, and it's an interesting insight into the 
intellect of Mr. Schwartz. Compare this man to the foolish, and 
sometimes absurd, rantings of Ballmer.
