Victor:

Thanks for the post. I was going to check the site again as well, but
haven't had an opportunity yet. There went $50 down the drain. Oh
well. What's another $50 after the $600 I already spent before they
pulled the plug on Win4Lin 5/9?

I'm afraid that this doesn't help my cynical view of the Win4Lin company
very much.

I emailed Jim Provan a few minutes ago so see what happened to his site.
If I get an answer, I'll report back.

Frank.

Thanks for the info. I emailed Jim Provan a few minutes ago to see what
happened. If I get an answer back, I'll post here.

I tried to send a message like this a few minutes ago, but it does not
appear to have made it to the board, so I am posting again.

Win4Lin 9.x for newer linuxes will not be happening

I wanted to check on progress of this at www.win4lin9x-support.com and
found that the browser had automatically been redirected to www.win4lin.com.

There is a post on the support forum dated yesterday under "win4lin
9x"
indicating that the person behind trying to get win4lin9x working on
newer kernels had given up...

I put in my first message that I had paid the $50, but not in the
second, so I assume that my first message made it to the board. Oddly
enough, however, I still can't see it from here.

Anyway, no answer yet, but it wasn't bounced either, so I'll let you know.

It will be interesting to hear what he has to write.

In his posting on the forum he indicated that he would connecting
subscribers. I too, like you, paid $50, but have not heard anything
directly.
