I got this error when I tried to open a Visual Foxpro 6 database
Server Error: [Microsoft][ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver]File c:\data\mydb.dbc is
not a database. Alias: MYDB
what settings should I check to work it out ?

Eric,
I don't recall for which version of FoxPro the FoxPro driver that comes
with the BDE is intended. I am only guessing, but I think the first step
would be for you to confirm that you have the right driver. You should
be able to get a ODBC driver or try the DataDirect ones which come with
the latest dBASE PLUS (but DataDirect ones have some licensing
requirements if you deploy to more than 3 machines).

Eric,
In case you haven't solved this yet...
You would need to use either the Data Direct xBase driver or Microsoft's
Visual FoxPro driver
to access Visual FoxPro database containers (.dbc files).
The older BDE FoxPro driver only supports the older free tables.
