Looking for feedback on dbase/BDE in real 64-bit OS environment

Hello all!

I'm not sure if I'm asking this question on the right spot, so feel free
to move it to a different newsgroup if necessary.

Recently, we're told that one of our clients wants to upgrade their
server to Windows Server 2003 64-bit, to get a chance for more RAM
(limit is 4GB on 32-bit OS). They said their tests confirmed that BDE is
not working in 64-bit environment.
Anyone has/had any experience (or success) in setting up that kind of
machine (64-bit CPU with 64-bit OS, preferably W2K3 Server, then run
dBase/BDE successfully)?
We don't have a chance to test it yet. I'm thinking that there was a
problem with setting user privileges on 64-bit machine, which I believe
they haven't done, but I might be wrong and BDE might not work on 64-bit
after all.

Any information is appreciated.

It works fine with Windows 2003 Server x64. http://landisc.com runs on it.
Check my notes (rather dated, but should help) @
http://howto.landisc.com/64bit.doc

"They said their tests confirmed that BDE is not working in 64-bit
environment." - I say POPPYCOCK!!!
